The trouble with multiple similar blog sites

... is that life becomes a little, ah, confusing.

A number of people I know have jumped lock, stock and barrel from LJ to DW, pre-emptively transferring their entire friends list by granting access to zillions of OpenIDs, and crossposting from DW back to LJ. However, I don't see any comments on their post without hopping over to DW (and, quite frequently, they have comments disabled on the crossposted site). Now, the trouble with that is that my browser is already logged into DW as me, not as my LJ-self, and DW-me is not on their f'list ...

I suppose this means I ought to stop sitting on the fence :)

I have not found an alternative to splitting my attention between the two - but you could at least use your open ID to tell the rest of the flist what your Dreamwidth ID is.

IIRC, DW have said that in the future there will be a way to "link" full DW accounts with OpenIDs, so that being logged into one is the same as being logged into the other. But, this isn't here yet. Perhaps just ask people to authorise you on the account you prefer to be logged in as? :-)

Allo :)

I at least haven't disabled comments on LJ, having been irritated by exactly the same problem...
