Mysterious junk call from +800

Normally I use whocallsme.com for this sort of thing, but the that site refuses the (invalid) caller ID as too short.

I've had a few missed calls from +800 over the past couple of weeks where they'vve rung off quickly; today I answered the mobile in time. A caller with a possibly-Indian accent, they knew my name and claimed to be conducting a survey relating to life in the UK. I declined to participate, pointing out that I had never heard of the organisation and they were calling with invalid caller ID; if I'd been more on-the-ball I should have asked them how they got my details and point out that my mobile is TPS registered. At least now they've got through to me the once I can but hope that they don't try again.

TPS sadly doesn't apply to overseas callers. Which is why people use overseas call centres to get around the law.
