Electric bikes are increasingly splitting into two camps: practical commuter tools and high-performance machines that edge into motorcycle territory. The Flux X26 from AOTOS sits firmly in the latter, positioning itself as a hybrid that prioritizes ride experience, power and design, while layering in a suite of connected features more commonly seen in smart devices – but the icing on top is a dedicated boost button!

The discussion was about a Louisiana election without any major races, which would typically get low voter turnout anyway.

Beans and paws are the teeniest source of joy for cat lovers worldwide in a world full of turmoil.

Our modern world often feels heavy and cumbersome to navigate because of the constant stream of bad news reports. But cat lovers have discovered a foolproof floofy source of joy: those teeny tiny paws affectionately known as peets. Considering they come with the squishable toe beans and imaginary dabloons, these purrecious paws serve up maximum meow energy to brighten even the gloomiest news feed.

Our feline overlords have a specialized talent for improving our moods, and their peets are definitely their most enchanting feature. Whether they are delicately typing across our keyboards, kneading our laps into submission, or flaunting their beans while napping in impossiblly liquid-looking positions, these tiny paws never fail to lift our spirits.

There is something truly meowgical about the way a cat stretches their toes to reveal those soft pink or black landing pads. They are nature's ultimate stress relievers - purrfectly round happiness dispensers wrapped in floofy fur. Even if our cats would prefer we didn't gently squish them, just looking at those pawdorable toe beans is enough to reset our internal peace. And this is exactly why we compiled this special edition of cat memes - full of paws, toe beans, and derpy dabloons.

Pizza night quickly becomes a group activity.

Cats and pizza don't seem like they should go together, but the second a pizza shows up, they're involved. You didn't invite them, but they're already there, sitting way too close like they've been part of the plan the whole time. It usually starts with the box. Flat, warm, and exactly the kind of spot they go for, so they sit right on top of it like it belongs to them.

Once the box opens, they don't leave. They shift closer, watching every slice, staying right in the middle of everything. The pizza is out, and now they're fully in it too. There's no backing off, just slowly getting more involved.

Then it turns into sitting directly on the pizza like that's the next step. One second it's untouched, the next there's a cat on it, claiming a slice just by being there. No hesitation, no pause, just fully committing to the spot they picked.

It goes from your pizza to something shared without any discussion. The box was theirs, the space was theirs, and now the pizza is too.

Long ago, in a busy corner of the neighborhood, 4 tiny kittens were left by the roadside. Small, soft, and hardly old enough to know the world. Most passed them by, unaware of the small destiny curled together in the grass. But one cat lover noticed. To them were given four kittens - fragile, squeaky, and barely more than a handful of fluff. Found huddled beside a busy road, where danger prowled and rain clouds gathered. And so the four kittens, Merry, Bilbo, Pippin, and Frodo, began their journey in a shoebox with their new furrever family.

I wonder at what birth year over half of people have never seen a western.

Obviously very young people won't - but if we look at people age 25-40, who have had a chance to watch a bunch of movies, I wonder if outside of classic movie afficionados you'll have seen many people see any. The last minor resurgence would have been Tarantino's Hateful Eight and Django Unchained, and I don't think either of those were that massive. Before that you're probably back to Dances with Wolves and Unforgiven, which is now around 35 years ago.

Which would mean that the main cultural touchstone for young people would be Red Dead Redemption 2, released in 2018 and the 4th best-selling game of all time.

(Curiosity triggered because in the most recent University Challenge nobody recognised John Wayne.)

You never know when you might find yourself saving a cat's life… Or when they might save yours.

Some people might see a hole in their fence as an inconvenience. Yet another thing around the house you have to find to fix. But for the hooman in the story below, the hole in their fence opened a door for a life-changing experience. Because out there, there was an adorable stray cat who saw that hole and decided to climb through it. Beyond the fence, she met a heartwarming man who immediately showed her kindness and love.

It wasn't long before the hooman took the cat into his home, and a day later, she gave birth to six tiny kittens in his basement. So not only did he save her life, but he also helped save the lives of her entire family.

While his initial plan was to find loving homes for all the babies, this pawdorable dad couldn't separate the bonded family, which is how he found himself the purroud pawrent of 7 cats.

Down below is the full story of the family, so keep scrolling to read the whole tale and see some snapshots that show the delightful development. After that, check out these hissterical cat memes for a wholesome weekend.

2026/042: The Keeper — Tana French

Ardnakelty has no time for Guards. The townland will run its own investigation, spreading unseen beneath the official enquiry like ancient trailways underlie the brash modern roads; it'll reach its own conclusions, and deal out its own justice. [loc. 1069]

Third in the trilogy that began with The Searcher and continued with The Hunter. Cal Hooper's life in the small village of Ardnakelty seems settled: he's more or less engaged to Lena, and Trey is finding friends and possibly even romance. Then a young woman -- Rachel, fiancee of local big-shot Tommy Moynihan's son Eugene -- is found dead in the river. Read more... )
